Pennyroyal Valley is a great base for exploring the Otways and Surf Coast. We are members of the Otway Harvest Trail - their website is full of inspiring information.

The General Store in Deans Marsh is 2km down the road. It's a friendly little café serving breakfast & lunch and basic supplies.

If gourmet dining is your thing we've got you covered. Dan Hunter's fabulous restaurant Brae in the winsome hamlet of Birregurra is a quick 15mintues away. (We're happy to assist with transfers).  You'll also find The Royal Mail Hotel here - it's been newly refurbished and is open for dinner 6 nights a week.

The town of Forrest has become a hub for mountain bike riders and boasts a series of purpose built trails. If riding is not your thing try and spot a platypus at Lake Elizabeth.  The Forrest Brewery is the place to go for beers - they serve great meals too. Or check out Dar Teta for delicious Middle Eastern food.

If you want some sea salt in your hair head to beautiful Lorne. It's about a 20minute drive through pastures and fern filled forest. The beaches are fabulous and there are plenty of shops to get your spending fix at. Oh and the food is fabulous here too! Indulge in modern Greek at Ipsos, Mexican at Mestizo or a breakfast jaffle at HAH on the beach.

Walk off all the food on one of the many trails or once your food has gone down you can test your mettle climbing through the treetops at Livewire Park.
